Willis Campbell Bonner, 77, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Services will be 2:00pm Saturday, February 18th at Crossgates Baptist Church. Visitation at the church prior to the service starting at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.

Willis Campbell Bonner was born on January 18, 1935, in Sterlington, Louisiana to the late George and Mary Hazel Bonner. Following High School, he moved to the Jackson area. He was employed with Sears where he retired after thirty years of service. Willis served with the United States Army Reserve for six years. He was a member of the Crossgates Baptist Church where he served as an Usher and also for many years served as a teacher in the Preschool Sunday School. He had been active in earlier years in the Pearl Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sherlene Bonner; daughter, Pam Medders (Harry) of Brandon; granddaughter, Brandy Medders; brother, George Bonner of Natchez; and sister, Mabel Dawson of Shreveport, LA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Bonner and brothers, Roy and Lynn Bonner.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cancer Society Research or Baptist Missions.
