Willis Howard Johnson, age 93, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2022 at his home in Brandon MS. Willis is survived by his daughter and son in law, Robbie and Gwen Finch and his son and daughter in law Howard and Joanne Johnson. He has three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is proceeded in his death by his wife of 72 years, Bobbie Jeanette Rhodes Johnson and by his parents Sinak and Ineva Johnson. Willis was born on August 17, 1928 in Owensboro Kentucky and later moved to Saline Louisiana by way of Brownsville Texas. He graduated from Saline High School in 1946. Following high school, he served three years in the United States Air Force. He received a Bachelor of Law degree from the Jackson School of Law in 1960 and later received a Juris Doctorate in 1973. His professional career included State Farm Insurance Claim Agent, Owner of Stonegate of Jackson picture framing shop, picture frame molding sales agent, and Property Management Officer with the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Willis was a member and officer in several clubs and professional organizations including Toast Masters, Lions Club, Professional Picture Farmers Association, and the Pearl River Woodcarvers Club. He was awarded an honorary life membership to the Fine Art Trade Guild in London.
He will be buried in Saline, Louisiana on Sunday January 16, 2022 at 3:00 pm in a small graveside service.
