Wilma Jean Sheppard, 71, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson after a lengthy illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM Sunday, September 11, 2011 in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Andrew Chapel Community Cemetery in Brandon.
Mrs. Sheppard was born on February 7, 1940 in Carthage, MS and later moved to Jackson where she spent most of her life. She was loved by all her family and friends, and anyone who came to know her.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bart Sheppard; daughters, Tammye Haralson and Leticia (Hubert) Mahon; step-daughters, Stephanie (Tony) McEwen and Donna (Scott) Ryals; sister, Gayle Lamey; brother, Glenn Kelly; grandchildren, Michael Haralson, Aaron Alley, Rachel Alley, Tyler Ryals, TaylerAnn Ryals, Kayleigh McEwen, and Misty Quick; and 4 great-grandchildren.
