Funeral services for Wilma Riser White will be conducted at 3 P.M. , Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from the Ephesus Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Everett officiating. Burial will be in the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Mrs. White, age 80, a resident of Forest, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was an active member of Ephesus Baptist Church and its’ ministries. Mrs. Wilma was a member of the Ephesus Quilters, S.E. Lackey Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and the Woodmen of the World Fraternal Organization. She also was a member of the Ringgold Homemakers Club, and served as the treasurer for the Scott County Homemakers Club. Mrs. Wilma had a passionate interest in flowers and horticulture. She is survived by her two children: Kenneth Ray Robinson and his wife, Cathy of Lawrence; and Linda White of Forest; four grandchildren: Melanie Robinson Harrison and her husband, Jason, Gary White, and his wife, Christy, Dewayne Robinson, and his wife Sheri, and Randy White, all of Forest; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Carolyn Riser Haralson of Forest; Anna Bell Riser Toler of Liberty and Nancy Riser Shaw of Bastrop, LA; and one brother: Delton “Pete” Riser of Forest; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: J. Howard White; parents: Carl and Etoyal Riser; two sisters: Beth Riser Goff and Patsy Riser Gardner, and one brother: Carl Lynn Riser. Pallbearers will be the deacons of Ephesus Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Ephesus Baptist Church Building Fund. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
