Winnie Thrasher

Winnie Juanita Thrasher, age 88 a resident of Oxford, MS formerly of Forest, MS died Saturday December 2, 2017 following an extended illness.
Graveside services were conducted at 3pm Monday December 4, 2017 from the Carr Church Cemetery. Rev. Don James officiated. Visitation was held prior to the graveside service from 1pm-2:30pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Mrs. Thrasher was born on Thursday December 20, 1928 in Smith County, MS to her parents Leslie B. Goodson and Ruby L. Slade Goodson. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Hinds County prior to moving to Oxford. She loved her family and spending time with them. She was a faithful Christian lady whose life was a reflection of Proverbs 31. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris W. Thrasher.
Survivors include 3 children Linda Neal (Danny) of Lowell, AR Ladean Swain (Jeff) of Oxford, MS and Kenny Thrasher (Tonya) of Brandon, MS. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
