Zachary “Zach” Michael Magee, 29, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Sat. Aug. 3, 2019 in Brandon, MS from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Visitation will be held on Tues. Aug. 6, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and on Wed. Aug. 7, 2019 from 10am-10:45am at Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Wed. Aug. 7, 2019 at Pinelake Church with burial to follow in the Fannin Baptist Church Cemetery in Fannin, MS.

Zach attended Northwest Rankin schools and University Christian School. He graduated in 2006 from Challenge Academy at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg MS.   He was a certified welder and a boilermaker apprentice, a field that he enjoyed, making it easy for him to exercise his strong work ethic.

Zach had a zest for life and valued his family and friends, with his daughter, Kylie, being number one in his heart. His humor, easy-going nature and fun-loving spirit made him a joy to be around.  He preferred being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, sports and was an avid LSU fan.  He enjoyed grilling, cooking, trying out new recipes and never minded making a big mess in the kitchen as long as he achieved the results of good food to share with others.

Zach could always be counted on to selflessly help friends, family, neighbors and cared greatly for the elderly. In Zach’s short life, he touched the lives of many people in positive ways including many aunts, uncles and cousins.  His great-aunts describe him as a sweet young man, always a smile on his face, ready for a laugh, kind and considerate.  That sums up many loved ones thoughts about our dear Zach.

Zach is survived by his mother, Robin Magee (Ayman Al-Bataineh); father, Sammy “Mike” Michael Magee; daughter, Kylie Woods Magee; sister, Chantel Lee Munger; brother, Garrett Michael Magee (Madison); grandmother, Idelle Nichols and his grandfather, David Lasseigne. Zach is preceded in death by his grandmother, Patsy Lasseigne and his grandfather, Sammy Morgan Magee.
