Funeral services for Buddy Wilkinson will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from the Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Forest with Rev. Reggie Williams and Rev. Larry Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at Lake under the direction of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilkinson, 73, of Lake, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center North Campus in Meridian. He loved the outdoors and to hunt and was retired parts manager for Johnson Dodge in Meridian. Mr. Wilkinson served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and was
a “prankster” and “never met a stranger.”

Survivors include his wife of 49 years: Pat Wilkinson of Lake; one son: Stacy Wilkinson and his wife, Kim of Decatur; three grandchildren: Hailey, Lane, and Katelyn Wilkinson; two sisters: Lenora Hollingsworth of Lake and Glenda Sinclair and her husband, Rick of McComb; three brothers: Ben Wilkinson and his wife, Bonnie of McCool; Tommy Wilkinson and his wife, Julie and Joe Wilkinson and his wife Kay, all of Liberty; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Soule J. & Jessie Scallion Wilkinson, Sr. and one sister: Clarice Baucum.

Pallbearers will be Lane Wilkinson, Jimmy Baucum, David Hollingsworth, Stanley Hollingsworth, Danny Gatewood, and Bill Vance.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Mike Walker, Dr. William Lewis, Dr. John Lee, and Dr. Archie Howard.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gideons International.
