Christopher Lee Hodge, 17, a resident of Lena, MS died Thursday, November 27, 2014 in Scott County.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with interment to follow in the Ludlow Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-9 pm at the funeral home. Rev. Robert Gatewood officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
Chris was a native of Scott County and the son of John C. Hodge and Nellie Hamilton Wilburn. He enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Mary Hamilton, grandfather, Steve Jackson and grandmother, Angelia Jean Smith; great grandparents, Eula and James Homer Hodge and Olen and Elizabeth Tidwell.
Chris is survived by his mother, Nellie (Phillip) Wilburn; father, John C. (Alicia) Hodge; sisters, Kasey Saterfiel, Tabitha Hodge and Angelia Wilburn; brothers, Cameron Hodge and Landen Hodge; grandparents, John E. Hodge and Joyce Hodge; grandmother, Marie Jackson; many uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving and honoring Chris as pallbearers were James D. McElroy, Richard Mitchell, John Hill, Hunter Newcom, Nathan Forgason, Tim Duett and Jeremy McCroy.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
