Doris Gates Pearson, 84, passed away Thurs. Nov. 20, 2014 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Fri. Nov. 28, 2014 at the Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held from 10am until the service time on Fri. Nov. 28, 2014 at Marvin United Methodist Church. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Pearson was born in Bunker Hill, MS and has been a resident of Florence, MS for the past 38 years. She was a member of the Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence, MS and was also a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Pearson (Maggie); sister, Carolyn Boon and 3 grandchildren. Mrs. Pearson is preceded in death by her husband, Thadis J. Pearson; parents, Cassie & Lillie Gates; a sister and 2 brothers.
