Martha Gaye Pace, age 70, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Saturday July 26, 2014 in the Regency Hospital at St. Dominic’s in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 29, 2014 at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton. Visitation is being held tonight, Monday July 28, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Guy Hughes will officiate the services.
Mrs. Martha Gaye Pace was born on November 26, 1943 in Calhoun County. Mrs. Pace was an active member of the Pelahatchie Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday school and was a faithful member of the choir and enjoyed being part of all the activities of the church. She loved her family very much and especially loved her grandchildren and being with them. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Mrs. Pace was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. V. and Marie “Ballinger” Morgan; and brother, Randy Morgan.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Jimmy Pace of Pelahatchie; and son, Wesley Pace of Madison, MS; sisters, Gloria Stubbs (Hugh Jack) of Magee, MS, Brenda Ramage (Larry) of Fancy Gap, VA, Rhea Motely (Ron) of Smyrna, TN; and brothers, Julian Morgan (Mary Jo) of Tupelo, MS, Daniel Morgan (Suzanne) of Fancy Gap, TN, Jessie Morgan of Jackson, MS; four grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Serving as active pallbearers were Andy Johns, Eugene Pennington, John Randall Myers, Bobby Warren, Kenny Miller and James Harrell. Honorary pallbearers were J. W. Barnes, Lacey Taylor, and Johnny Carter.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton MS.
