Jacqueline Rule

Jacqueline Stella Vaughn Rule passed away on January 2, 2015 at St Dominic’s Hospital of congestive heart failure. Jackie was born on December 21, 1940 in Aberdeen, MS to Mahlon Austin Vaughn and Dorothy Virginia Wolverton Vaughn.
Jackie received a Masters of Education from Mississippi State University where she met and married Frank Burch Rule of Ruleville, Mississippi. Her parents and husband precede her in death. She leaves three children; Jennifer Carol Rule Emerson and husband Paul, Jacqueline Lynette Rhodes, James Jason Rule and wife Michelle; two brothers Richard Houston Vaughn and wife Cynthia of Brandon, Donald Mahlon Vaughn of Aberdeen and Brandon; grandchild Gabriel Cassalena Rule of Hattiesburg.
She was a generous and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her early career was in teaching. She worked as a licensed professional counselor in her later years. She was a member and elder of First Christian Church of Jackson, MS. Jackie lived in Sacramento California for many years and attended Faith Presbyterian Church. She touched the lives of many friends there before moving back to Brandon this year.
A Memorial service will be held at First Christian Church of Jackson, MS on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00pm. Pallbearers are Paul Emerson, Wayne Vaughn, David Vaughn and Richard Bradley. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Children’s Tumor Foundation at ctf.org.
