Jo Alsobrook Parris, 83, died at her home in Brandon, MS on Sept. 4, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tues. Sept. 9, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Memorial Services will be at 3pm on Wed. Sept. 10, 2014 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.
Jo was born in Guntersville, AL and has been a resident of Brandon, MS since 1976. She was employed by Safeway Cleaners as an accountant.
Jo is survived by her sister, Eleta Parris of Pensacola, FL and her very special friends Linda Ferguson and Brad Parker and dear friends, Robby Whyte, Jackie Wilson, DeLynne Satimore, Debbie Lopemann and Bacall. She is also survived by her nieces, Kelly Parris of Tampa, FL and Sara Tatum Altmeyer (Johnny) of Gulf Shores, AL; nephews, Scot Tatum (Sharon) of Madison, MS, Patt Tatum (Leslie) of Madison, MS, Jim Parris (Jamie) of Millbrook, AL, 7 grand nieces and nephews and 2 great grand nieces.
Jo is preceded in death by her mother and father, Sara Alsobrook Parris and Henry Parris; sister, Jeanne Parris Tatum; brother, James Parris and her nephews, Byron Tatum Jr (Skippy) and Ken Tatum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to TICA Southeast Region Atten: Joyce Henderson at 5747 Mountain Trail Snow Camp, NC 27349.
