Norman Keith Hodges, 54, passed away at his residence in Pelahatchie, MS on December 1, 2012.
He was born May 23, 1958 in New Albany, MS. Keith graduated from Forest High School, class of 1976. He was the owner and operator of Hodges Auto Parts in Morton, MS since 1988. Keith was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pelahatchie, MS where he served as a trustee, counselor for the youth, and a member of the campground committee.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, K.E. “Bill” Hodges of Forest, MS, his mother, Georgia Hodges Neal of Forest, MS, and his father-in-law, D.C. Banes of Pelahatchie, MS.
Keith is survived by his wife, Karen, his two sons and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kevin and Amanda Hodges of Madison, MS and Kramer Hodges of Pelahatchie, MS. He is also survived by three brothers and their wives: Eddie and Toni Hodges of Moss Point, MS, James and Fredna Hodges of Forest, MS, and Tim and Pat Hodges of Forest, MS. In addition, he is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Sadie Banes of Pelahatchie, MS, several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
Keith was a very devoted husband and father, always thinking of his family before himself. He loved spending time keeping his yard well-manicured, working on his Camaros, and attending Campmeeting at Shiloh. It was known to all who knew Keith: if he saw something that needed doing, he wouldn’t just have it done. He would do it himself, and do it right- “the Keith way”. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone, never wanting to receive credit.
