Larry Waggoner

Funeral services for Mr. Larry G. Waggoner will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, October 28, 2016 from the Clifton Baptist Church with Bro. Kenny Lang and Bro. Joey Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Clifton Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.


Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the funeral home.


Larry Gene Waggoner was born December 20, 1952 at Morton to his parents: Marvin C. and Sarah Elizabeth Waggoner. He passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at his home in the Clifton community at the age of 63.


Larry was a lifelong resident of Scott County, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. A mechanic by trade, he was proud of the fact that he was affiliated with the Dodge-Chrysler Corporation for over 47 years. Most recently, he was employed at Forest Ford. A jovial spirited and loving person, Larry will be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help others. He was a member of the Clifton Baptist Church.


He was preceded in death by his father: Marvin C. Waggoner.


He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years: Mrs. Denise Waggoner of Forest; his mother: Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Waggoner of Forest; his only sister: Jeralyn Perkins of Forest; his niece also known as “daughter” to him: Michelle Rushing of Sebastopol; and one nephew: Michael Perkins of Pearl; a special sister-in-law: Martha Harrelson of Houston, TX; and a special brother-in-law: Rick Nowell of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.


Pallbearers include the employees of Forest Ford: Chris Neese, Sylvester Lewis, Sam Taylor, Jason Stroud, Adam Richardson, and Victor Mitchell.


Honorary Pallbearers include: Forest Ford Employees: Gary Walton, Monte Rauch, Jeff Curtis and Cody Gay; and friends: Mike Crawford, Chris McDonald, Bobby Porter, and the late Truitt Sullivan.


Memorial donations may be made to the Clifton Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5034 Clifton-Hillsboro Rd., Forest, MS 39074.
