Linda Stokes

Linda Nell Stokes, age 72 of Brandon, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 1:00pm from the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon with Rev. Kelly Pope officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Bierman, David Harwell, Tyler Evans, Chris Greenlee, Nicolas Castiglione, and Jason Cox. Burial will follow in Terry Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2022, from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon.

Linda was born in Greenwood, MS on February 17, 1949, to the late John Newton Cox and Vera Inez Montague Cox.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Windell Louis Faubion.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon Stokes of Brandon, MS; children, Cindy (Steve) Bierman of Alabaster, Al and Elizabeth Castiglione of Pearl, MS; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; siblings, Jane (Walter) Adair of Dixon, TN, Patricia Pace of Flowood, MS, John (Evelyn) Cox of Pearl, MS, and Walter (Mildred) Cox of Morton, MS; other relatives and friends.
