Mary Mccallum

Mary T. McCallum, age 84 of Brandon, MS, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 4, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 1:30 pm at Brandon Baptist Church, with Dr. Clarence Cooper and Rev. Gayden Harrell officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 am until service time. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.

Mary was born on August 10, 1937, in Heidelberg, MS to the late Curtis Bush Travis and Vivian Sanders Travis. Mary was an active member of Brandon Baptist Church, and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi after a 39-year career.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and greatly enjoyed life.  She never forgot the birthday of a family member or friend, and loved traveling; visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was one of her joys.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of more than 64 years, Duncan A. McCallum; her daughter, Janis (Gary) Wilkes; grandchildren Michelle (Ryan) Martin, Melissa (Kevin) Donahue, and Meredith (Drew) Watkins; great grandchildren, Avery Elise Martin, Alexander Thomas Martin, Rhett Wilkes Martin, Presley Anne Marie Donahue, and Samuel Hudson Watkins; her sister, Martha Jane McMullan; a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Curtis Bush Travis.
