Olene Runnels Whittinghill, 35 a resident of Morton died Friday, July 11, 2014 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton. Graveside services will be held 11 am Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Parkway Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Mickey Walls will officiate the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Whittinghill was a native of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Johnny and Peggy Webb Runnels. She was married to Michael Whittinghill. She enjoyed working with her hands in crocheting and knitting. Mrs. Whittinghill loved her family very much and spending time with brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Whittinghill was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Runnels; grandparents, Edmond and Erma Webb and Travis and Vondell Maddox Runnels.
Mrs. Whittinghill is survived by her husband, Michael Whittinghill: children, Mazie Patricia Whittinghill and Michael Gage Whittinghill; mother, Peggy Webb Runnels; sister, Laura Runnels; father and mother in law, Erwin and Doris Whittinghill; mother in law, Dianne Coats; brother in law, Scotty Whittinghill; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
