Peggy Miley

Peggy Kennedy Miley, age 87 and a lifelong resident of Puckett died Monday, October 31, 2022.

Mrs. Miley was born on June 16, 1935, in Dr. Holifeild’s office in Puckett. She loved the Lord, her family, and her church family at Puckett Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was an avid reader a wonderful cook.

She married Aven Miley on January 1, 1954, and they welcomed three children, Vickey, Steve, and Nanda. She retired from Siemens in 1993 where she worked in accounting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.A. and Bertie Kennedy, her husband Aven Miley, three brothers, Eugene, Larry, and Phillip, and one sister, Lynda Means.

Survivors include three children, Vickey Letchworth, Steve Miley, and Nanda Goodman, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Jo Ponder, Brenda Bradshaw, and Beverly Smith.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the funeral to follow at 11:00 am at Puckett Baptist Church on Thursday, November 2, 2022. Brother Alvin Doyle and Grant McElveen will officiate. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
