Phillip David Rawls was born February 28, 1955 in Laurel, MS to the late Jessie Wilbur and Ester Mae Huff Rawls. He passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at his residence at the age of 59.
He was a lifelong resident of the Pineville Community in Smith County. He was a “loner” and tended to himself, and he loved to fish. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1973 -1976 and was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by one sister: Mary Mangum of Raleigh and one brother: Dewayne Rawls of Taylorsville.
He is also survived by three nephews and one niece; three great-nephews and one niece; and a host of cousins.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest assisted the family in making arrangements.
